I began my genealogy research in March of 1999 when Nicholas was almost 2 and Austin was about 6 months old. I had lots of spare time back then because both boys were taking 2 or 3 hour naps in the afternoon so I could just sit down and play on the computer! (Those were the days!!) Most of the information I have obtained has been given to me by family members and distant cousins. Some I have found on the Internet. I am in the process of verifying all of the information I have and of finding even more. However, lately my research has pretty much come to a crawl at best because life has just gotten too busy.

I really enjoy working with old family photographs that I have been lucky enough to come across. My dad has helped me tremendously in this area and he was also kind enough to give me all of the old pictures he had from his side of the family. The other photographs have been collected from various family members and from cousins I have met on the Internet. I have hundreds of photos already online and several hundred more waiting to be scanned. I have also been very fortunate to find some old family artifacts. One example is a Bible that belonged to my Great-Great-Great Grandfather which he carried while he was on the battlefield during the Civil War!
